FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Have another question? Call or WhatsApp us and our team will help.

Ask on WhatsApp
When is a liver transplant needed?

When the liver is failing because of advanced disease. A transplant team assesses whether it is the right option.

Are liver and pancreas operations safe?

They are major operations, but in experienced hands and with proper planning they are performed routinely.

Can gallbladder stones affect the pancreas?

Yes. A stone moving into the bile duct can cause pancreatitis, which is why symptomatic stones should be treated.

What tests will I need?

Usually blood tests and imaging such as ultrasound, CT or MRI. Your surgeon will advise based on your symptoms.

Can I get a second opinion on a liver or pancreas scan?

Yes. Bring your reports and scans, and our HPB surgeon will review them and explain your options.

Where is the surgery performed?

Complex HPB and liver transplant procedures are performed at well-equipped partner hospitals. Our team guides you through the process.
